Jon Lundbom & Big Five Chord (Jon Lundbom, Jon Irabagon, Bryan Murray, Moppa Elliot, Danny Fischer) Guitarist and composer Jon Lundbom currently resides in New York City. He leads his band, Jon Lundbom & Big Five Chord, with which he has released two albums; he also co-leads The Jon Lundbom/Bryan Murray Quartet with tenor saxophonist Bryan Murray. As a sideman, Jon performs regularly with Jason Liebman & the Uprising, Wolfe & the Wayside, and Aaron Irwin’s Viscous World Project, as well as with Stuart d’Arrietta’s ‘Belly of a Drunken Piano – The Music of Tom Waits.’ He has also collaborated extensively with performance artist Julia May Jonas (Nellie Tinder). |

"Write a Song Together!" With this simple advertisement posted nationwide on craigslist, songwriter Sam Kulik solicited poems from America's great latent poets and began setting them to music.
The result is Escape from Society, a cycle of new song-poems on topics ranging from lost love to baseball nicknames to Native American dwarfs to the creative process. Kulik's lazy deep-voiced drawl becomes the voice of a bizarre nation and his trombone its authentic conscience. Also escaping society with Kulik are Matt Nelson (tenor sax; tUnE-YarDs), Kyle Forester (bass and piano; Crystal Stilts, the Ladybug Transistor), and Ian Antonio (drums; ZS, Yarn/Wire). |

Charles Evans is an American baritone saxophonist based in New York, who specializes in chromatic improvisation/composition and traditional jazz. Evans has been a member of the New York City creative music community since 2002, when he moved to the city after graduation from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. He then went on to earn a Master's in Jazz Performance from Queens College, as well as NYS teacher certification. He has studied with David Liebman, Julian Sparacino, Jim Buckley, the late Bill Zaccagni, Chris Farr, Ron Kerber, John Swana, Tony Miceli, George Garzone, Hamiet Bluiett, and Antonio Hart.

Puttin' On the Ritz (BJ Rubin, Kevin Shea) It would seem that many documents have been lost and/or destroyed, and as a result much of the origins and early history of this particular ensemble remains obscured. Perhaps future generations will be able to unearth more evidence, but that remains to be seen. What is known is that Puttin' On The Ritz consists of two human beings, both male and above the age of consent. They have been known to imbibe large quantities of alcohol before, during, and after their performances; for some reason this is their preference. BJ Rubin is a former associate producer at the Daily Show and has a blog: "pukekos" where he discusses rare and out of print recordings by underground rock artists. |
